Overview: New and newly promoted managers lacked the knowledge and confidence to navigate FMLA, including understanding employee rights and their responsibilities in the process. This gap led to inconsistent handling of leave requests, creating potential compliance risks for the organization. I designed a focused, practical training to build foundational knowledge and equip managers to handle FMLA situations with confidence and consistency.
My Role:
Partnered with HR and legal stakeholders to translate FMLA policies into clear, manager-friendly learning content
Designed the course structure and instructional flow to simplify complex information and improve comprehension
Developed scenario-based examples to help managers apply policies in real-world situations
Created knowledge checks to reinforce key concepts and support learner understanding

Overview: This microlearning course provides employees with guidance on setting clear and professional out-of-office email responses when taking time away from work. The course was developed after leadership identified a recurring issue: employees’ auto-replies often lacked clear guidance on alternate contacts, creating delays in communication.
The course walks learners through how to prepare for their absence, actions to take before enabling an out-of-office message, and best practices for managing communication upon their return. It also includes a ready-to-use email template and additional resources so employees can quickly apply best practices when creating their own out-of-office messages.
My Role:
Identified the communication challenge and designed a learning solution to address it
Structured the course flow and learning sections
Wrote instructional content
Developed the course in Articulate Rise
Created a reusable out-of-office email template
